Maundy Thursday
Join us for this special network service hosted at Christ Church Southend as we re-tell the story of Jesus’ final evening with his friends before his death. Through readings, prayer, worship, and sharing communion together we’ll reflect on this moving moment of love, friendship and sacrifice at the heart of the Easter story.

Chalkwell Park Open Air Good Friday Service
Many churches across Chalkwell and Southend will be gathering together for this joint open-air Good Friday service in Chalkwell Park.
We’ll meet at St Michael’s at 10:40am for a Walk of Witness to the park, where the service begins at 11:00am. If the weather is kind, some of us will stay afterwards to share a picnic together.
Everyone is welcome to come and take part.
Good Friday Meditation— An Hour at the Cross
A quiet and reflective service as we pause to remember the meaning of the cross. Through readings, silence and prayer we will spend an hour reflecting on the love and sacrifice of Jesus. All are welcome to come and share in this time of reflection.
Easter Morning Sunrise Service
Celebrate the joy of Easter morning as the sun rises over the sea!
We’ll gather at St Michael’s at 5:45am and walk down together, or meet us on Chalkwell Beach (opposite Chalkwell Station) at 6:00am. This special early morning service will include Holy Communion as we welcome Easter Day together.

At our 10:45am service we will also be celebrating a baptism by full immersion — a joyful and powerful sign of new life in Christ. Whether you come to church regularly or are just curious, you are very welcome to join us this Easter!
